Name Angle's

Hello bloggers,Today in maths we used a ruler to write out our names and used a protractor to measure the angles. We had to have angles such as,  Acute angle (less than 90 degrees), Right angle (equal to 90 degrees),Obtuse angle (more than 90 but less than 180 degrees), Straight angle (equal to 180 degrees) and Reflex angle (more than 180 less than 360). Have you ever done this?

Holes

kia ora bloggers. In reading we are reading a book called holes. This book is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats, this name can be read forwards and backwards.

he was accused of stealing shoes form Clyde Livingston a  famous sports player.

Stanley was sent to camp Green Lake for a crime he did not commit.

At camp green he had to dig one hole a day. 5ft x 5ft.

Camp Green Lake is a dry wasteland in the middle of nowhere. its a very hot place because its In the middle of a desert .

Stanley is from a poor family,he is overweight and at school he was bullied.

Stanley's family is cursed. Stanley always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Angels

 Kia ora bloggers,

For numeracy today, we have started to learn about angles.

We learnt about 3 different angles today - acute (less than 90°), right angle (90°), and obtuse (larger than 90° but smaller than 180°).  We also learnt how to use a protractor to measure angles.  We know that we need to measure an angle from a vertice (a corner where two straight lines meet).

For our create task, we had to measure three different angles on the first letter of our name - can you  figure out if they are acute, right angle or obtuse?
